Oglala Sioux Tribe Environmental Protection Program

The Oglala Sioux Tribe Environmental Protection Program exists to protect the health of our natural systems and tribal members. We know that our Lakota way was always to live in harmony with nature, and do our part to protect these values in our modern world. We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information to tribal members, programs, and others in order to help all of us protect and preserve our environment for future generations.

We receive funding for several of our programs from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Our funding allows us the ability to educate our community, strengthen our tribal codes and laws, identify contaminated sites, and remediate (clean up) some of those sites.

Follow OSTEPP.org on Facebook & Twitter!

Let us know about possibly contaminated sites!
